Emergencies can happen at any time, which is why it's important to be prepared. The American Red Cross Responding to Emergencies course is designed to give students the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively in a variety of emergency situations.
The course is broken down into four modules: First Aid, CPR, AED, and Emergency Response. Each module covers a different topic and provides students with the opportunity to learn and practice the skills they need to know. After completing all four modules, students will have a strong foundation on which to build their emergency response skills.
First Aid Module
The first module covers first aid basics, such as how to perform CPR and how to use an AED. Students will also learn how to recognize and treat common injuries and illnesses. This module is important because it teaches students how to provide immediate care in an emergency situation.
CPR Module
The CPR module covers how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants. Students will also learn how to use an AED. This module is important because it teaches students how to provide life-saving care in an emergency situation.
AED Module
The AED module covers how to use an AED. Students will also learn how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants. This module is important because it teaches students how to provide life-saving care in an emergency situation.
Emergency Response Module
The Emergency Response module covers what to do in a variety of emergency situations. Students will learn about fire safety, severe weather, environmental emergencies, and more. This module is important because it teaches students how to keep themselves and others safe in an emergency situation.
